People always wander about the Dalai Lama. He is loved and revered by many around the world. He has always been a supporter of peace and antiquity. In fact there has been 14 Dalai Lamas now. He is always referred to as His Holiness. Throughout history, the Dalai Lama had a been a figure of hope and wisdom for many generations. This essay will discuss the reputation of the Dalai Lama and the issues involved in its making through various aspects. The Dalai Lama is a complex character. He is the embodiment of passion. In fact the name Dalai Lama means ocean of wisdom. The Dalai Lama is the head monk of Tibet. He was responsible for governing Tibet till the Chinese took over in 1959. He is believe to be incarnated in different forms to continue his perpetual duty and obligation. Tibetans mainly believe he is the guardian angel of Earth. He is responsible for preservance of peace and harmony. According to Buddhist beliefs, the Dalai Lama who decides to come back to life to continue his important work is known as tulku. Following certain vision and signs, the fourteenth Dalai Lama was discovered in Amdo in the north- eastern province of Tibet. His name was Tashi Tsering then renamed to Tenzin Khentse. He was educated in western ways of thinking plus the traditional Tibetan ideas. The fourteenth Dalai Lama apparently has a status and reputation which is embedded in the minds and souls of Tibetans. His reputation and even surpassed the borders of Tibet. Besides his reverence in Tibetan religion, he is currently a glorified cultural icon worldwide. He is a compassionate and wise soul which is a bonus to the Tibetan people.
