Earnhardts left rear fender connected with Marlin’s front bumper his car began to slide toward the steep flat part of the apron.. When dales car turned sharply up the track it collided with Schrader’s at 180mph. Earnhardt’s car hit at a critical angle and the right rear wheel assembly broke off on impact the hood pins severed and the hood flipped open, slamming into the windshield as the car slid slowly down the track. The crash looked relatively minor, but it was devastating, costing Dale Earnhardt his life he was taken to Halifax Medical Center.where he was pronounced dead upon arrival..There was two other crashes that were deadly
