Cowboys Flashback: Dallas Cowboys versus the Seattle Seahawks

The last time that the Dallas Cowboys found themselves in a 2-4 hole was back in 2004 under head coach Bill Parcels. The lost to Minnessota Vikings, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers in the first seven game stretch. At 2-4, the Dallas Cowboys came out against the Detroit Lions on October 31st, 2004 at Texas Stadium and defeated them 31-21. In 2004, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Seattle Seahawks 43-39. Maybe history will repeat itself and the Cowboys will beat the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday in AT&T stadium. In 2004, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Seattle Seahawks 43-39.

Dallas gave Seattle troubles on all aspects of the game. Including back to back sacks by Cowboys Randy White, a kickoff which the returner had the ball stripped which gave Dallas the ball at the 19 yard line and the ability to score easily.

In just the first half, Seattle quarterback Jim Zorn was sacked four times and gave up to turnovers, one on an interception and one fumble. In the third quarter, each team found themselves scoreless. The turnovers continued for the Seahawks in the fourth quarter with an interception, and two fumbles that led to some more Dallas points. Seattle was able to finally put a drive together late in the game to avoid the shut out.

October 12, 2014 (30-23)~ With the win, the Dallas Cowboys became 5-1 for the first season since 2007. This was no easy win with many odds stacked against Dallas. They were facing the 12th man at CentryLink Field against defending Super Bowl Champions. Quickly in the game, the Dallas Cowboys were facing a 10-0 deficit. After Tony Romo took a shot to the ribs and took several minutes to get up, Chris Jones' punt was blocked by Seattle and returned for a touchdown. However, the 6th 100 yard game by Murray and the memorable toe drag catch by Terrance Williams put the Dallas Cowboys ahead to keep their winning streak
