My favorite sport is football. I have always liked football ever since I was a kid. I played football during my middle school years and also my high school years. I was injured during my high school game against the Bernalillo Spartans. I remember that game like it was yesterday. I was a linebacker for the Cuba Rams. The play that I was injured during was a hail mary play and we were hoping to win the game. I jumped to catch the ball and got hit so hard, while in the air, I fell to the ground and knew immediately I had injured my back. I grew up watching football in my hometown and on tv. My favorite NFL team is the Dallas Cowboys. I grew up watching them since I was very little and before I even knew what football was all about. Watching football was a family event. I was able to go see the Dallas Cowboys play when I was only 11 years old. I went to the game with one of my cousins. Being in their stadium left me speechless. I was so excited to see all the players in person and to finally see the star in the center of the field. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and that I was actually there. I was so excited to be at my first game and the Cowboys pulled off the win. The stadium was so loud I could feel the cheers and the screaming in my bones. It was the best day of my life. When I have kids and I have a son of my own, I hope to be able to take him to a Cowboys game. It is an experience everyone should have. I hope that my son can say that football is his favorite sport too and that he will one day want to play football.
