Therefore dally and johnny have some similarities and huge amount of differences. Dally is a mean, aggressive, tough person. He has a record a mile long. He can’t do anything legal, so when he wants to go to the drive in everyone with him has to sneak in. He loves picking fights with people and loves to scare little kids.
When you are dancing, there are many things you can channel; emotions, memories, people, experiences, stories, the list goes on and on. These properties can be portrayed through movements, facial expressions, and music. Dancing can also portray conflict; such as the conflict between Ponyboy Curtis and Darry Curtis in S.E. Hinton’s beloved novel, The Outsiders. In our dance piece, titled, Hard to See, both the music and movements work in harmony to illustrate Darry and Ponyboy’s maturing relationship.
The chapters 1-5 of the Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, is about two gangs the greasers and the Socs, who are always causing trouble. In the greaser gang, the protagonist, Ponyboy, is always getting good grades and is the smartest in the gang. Dally is one of the members in the gang, Ponyboy 's brother, has been in jail multiple times. Sodapop is also Ponyboy’s brother. He works at a gas station.
S.E Hinton, the author uses hyperbole and exaggeration to describe Johnny as a dark little puppy and Dally as strong. Have you ever heard the quote “the good ones die young”?. In the book called The Outsiders characters show they aren't who people think they are. In the book named the outsiders written by S.E Hinton two characters named Johnny and dally decide to go into a burning church to save children from a school. As Johnny and dally were leaving there was huge turn of events.
In The Outsiders, Dally experiences the second stage of grief
“A true hero isn’t measured by the size of their strength, but by the strength of their heart.” A hero is a person that does something to help or they can also save someone 's life. One example of, being a hero is Darry because he takes care of Ponyboy and Sodapop. Another example, of being a hero is Johnny when he saved Ponyboy and the little kids. A further example, of being a hero is Ponyboy when he also saved the little kid’s life and when he wanted to take the blame for killing Bob.
Dally is a Greaser who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with members of his gang. He starts out as an obnoxious teenager; however, he becomes a rebellious, but considerate person when Johnny, a boy that he loved, helped Dally learn how to care for others. Early in the story, Dally is a tough teenager who shows his obnoxious personality when confronting people. When Dally and his friends go to the NIghtly Double, they meet two Socs.
Like the book said he was arrested at the age of ten so he clearly has experience dealing with the police. He has been in fights and even jumped people and didn’t get caught so they knew they could rely on him for help. In addition to this they knew that they could trust Dally because of all the time they have spent with him. Dally would stick up for the gang and do what he could to help. He knew a very good hiding place (Jay Mountain) that so far no one has found.
“His hair was almost white it was so blond, and he didn’t like haircuts, or hair oil either so it fell over his forehead in wisps and kicked out in the back in tufts and curled behind his ear and along the nape of his neck” . This quote suggests that Dally is wild because he most likely has long hair giving off the wild feeling. Ponyboy also pointed out “”He had an elfish face, with high cheekbone, and animal teeth, and ears like lynx”. Pony compared Dally to wild animals. “His eyes were blue, blazing ice, cold with hatred of the whole world..”” if he hates the whole world he wouldn’t really care about the rules and break them, and do whatever he wants.
Although I have read many books over the years, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton’s character of Darry is the most influential. Darry is the eldest brother of the main character, Ponyboy. Darry works for his family and supports them and that character showed me that as my eldest brother I need to step up. My class read The Outsiders as a quarter long literature assignment and I was greatly influenced by Darry’s dedication to his family.

Well in the book The Oustiders by S.E Hinton, The socs are more of a menace than the greasers because of the money they have, their parents mindset, and the society’s popular choice.
Darry has an extremely serious personality and loves Ponyboy with tough love. All three show love in different ways, but they still do love. Love is shown throughout all of the book The Outsiders in various ways, even though there is lots of violence. Dally and Johnny had a very close bond. They were very close all the time and really admired each other.
Dally A rock-hard hood who never backs down from any challenge. Dally is a character in the book “Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton. The Outsiders is a book where a ragtag group of greasers band together and overcome victories, tragedies, and above all, build an even stronger bond of brotherhood. This story begins in the town of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Ponyboy(our main character) is walking home from the movies and gets ambushed by a large group of Socs(Sociables-the “popular/rich” clique).
Dally is not strong mentally (when he couldn’t let Johnny go), he really does not do good deeds, and he does not care about any other people than only Johnny, and he’s rude to others and bad at using words. A quotation that supports my statement is, “What for? Get back in here before I beat your head in.” (p.90) This quotation supports my statement because Dally said this to Ponyboy when he hopped off the car and said to see what the deal is when he saw the old church on fire, it proves that Dally does not care about other stuff that does not involve him and that he’s rude to others and using
(1.48) After Johnny died, Dally makes an enormous sacrifice that took away his life. He loved Johnny so much that he couldn't take the fact he was gone. Dally was known to be the most cold-blooded member of the gang but after Johnny's death, he was the one who showed the most affection. Dally wouldn’t have been shot if he didn’t love Johnny so much, and sacrificed himself.
