History/Background Daniel Handler also known as Lemony Snicket was born in San Francisco on February 27, 1970. He became most popular for his A Series of Unfortunate Events stories. He was first writing children's books but then decided to write novels for a more mature audience. Some of Daniel Handler’s books got rejected for publishing various of times. Although, that did not stop him from getting his art out to the public. Soon enough, after 32 times of rejection, after years of patiently waiting, his book got published.
