The Dark Ages is a period of time when the civilization, trade, and industry of Rome downgraded so much that it lasted for 600 years. It happened after when the Visigoths deliberated Rome, causing Rome to plunge. During those years, despite how hard the Romans tried to get back in strength again, obstacles kept them from advancing and regaining their power. These problems were famines, deaths, frequent battles, lack of money, and diseases. For this reason, it was a miserable and callous time to live and it is also the reason why the Dark ages kept going.
