“She's the best! She always knows what to say, she always knows exactly what to do, she's perfect! I think I love her, oh my gosh I'm in love with her! I can't breathe, I can't think around her; she has to die,” As ridiculous as it sounds, this often goes on in the mind of someone who kills a person they love. Most of the time, a “love crime” is a crime of passion. Emotions get the best of a person and they simply see scissors and stab the other person brutally eleven times. Although it's horrific and terrible, it's a crime of passion; without preparation and directly on impulse. The scary thing about this type of crime is that the perpetrator is not mentally ill, they just have the inability to cope with rejection. It's exactly the scary line we hear in movies, “If I can't have you no one can,” The scarier thing is that most of the time, these killers are average people, a Mr. Brooks type person. Average people have thought about this gruesome act. Darren Brown is a psychological illusionist, although his experiments are cruel and vulgar, he pushes to see how far someone could go for greedy purposes. He convinces people to “murder someone”, to get in good favor with someone else. He tested this with three people, two women and one man. Both women did as they were told and almost killed the person and would have if scientists hadn't stepped in. The man, however, refused. These were all random people chosen off the street. An average person can kill for selfish reasons, people can do things they never thought they could. 2/3 of those people would commit a terrible thing, isn't that still two people two many? If average people can commit horrific crimes, why is it a surprise when a slightly crazy person actually does? Why is it such a surprise that people could kill their loved
