Last night, on September 12th, by 1337 Elington drive, Ms.Adela Strangeworth’s roses were supposedly vandalized by an unknown towns person. There has been speculation as to why a towns person vandalized Ms.Adela Strangeworth’s roses. Townspeople have recently called out Ms. Strangeworth for harassment in the form of letters that she sent them anonymously, and townsperson angered by Ms.Strangeworth’s letters most likely ruined her flowers. The roses were allegedly cut down with a knife or a similar sharp object and damaged by a lot of force. A few hours after Ms.Adela Strangeworth reported the incident, most townspeople were aloof about the matter, while others were sympathetic.
According to the passages, I’ll Know Victory or Defeat and Letter from James Meredith, Meredith had many good experiences and some not so well. He completed high school, had a good life in the military, and even became staff sergeant in the Air Force. All of these this affected his life in a positive way, and the world that he lived in. Many people and or things were effected during the American Revolution. This is the time Abigail Adams wrote a letter to her son who is going on a trip with his father. To start off the letter, after greeting him and explaining the occasion of her writing, Abigail uses personal repetition with the word “your,” before qualities and events with a positive connotation to appeal to John’s pride and leave him open to listen to more of her her advice, as she already successfully advised him in his trip to France. In only the second sentence of the letter, Abigail already throws in that her advice is, to John, “for your own benefit,” (5) later she speaks of, once again to John, “your knowledge,” (11) and finally, “your understanding,” (14).

Half way through her letter she states, “do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the husbands” in which she basically states there should be a change in how men treat their wives and the women of America. Women were treated as if they were nothing but property, and their body and everything they “owned” or was once theirs, was now in complete custody of their husbands. She goes on to say that “if particular care and attention is not paid to the ladies we are determined to foment a rebellion” in which is another way of her saying pointing out that women are also tired of their lack of freedom.
