Role Model: David Suzuki's Impact On Society

Throughout history, there have been many people who have helped shape society today. Jesus, Isaac Newton, Aristotle, Nelson Mandela and many others have made a huge impact on human life. All these people may have had an influence on science, religion, human emotion and even nature. They used their special traits, talents, morals, and beliefs to lead others and help them understand the things going on around the world. In the 20th century, there have been many people that have made a large impact on society. One of these people includes David Suzuki. David Suzuki is a role model, environmentalist, scientist, broadcaster and leader. (Link) He is the co-founder of the David Suzuki Foundation. Founded in 1990, the mission of the foundation is to "protect the diversity of nature and our quality of life, now and for the future" and their vision is "that within a generation, Canadians act on the understanding that we are all interconnected and interdependent with nature" (Link). Events that wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for him. David created an organization that made a very large impact on many people's lives. All of the events that the David Suzuki has taken part of would not have been possible if it wasn’t for him bringing people together to focus on a large problem. The events that happened include Orca and salmon preservation, sustainable transportation in major cities and many others projects as well (Link). His programs, broadcasting shows, lectures and events truly made a large impact on society and how people viewed nature. Now the government is supporting the use of electric cars and many people are beginning to switch to more sustainable power sources (Link)(Link). The world truly has benefitted from the amazing work that David Suzuki has had to offer to the
