I disagree with you. I believe that the colonists were not justified in resisting the British policies after the French and Indian War. As you stated, a country has a right to tax its own people and to enforce laws. Do you not agree then that it was okay for the colonists to have to be taxed too, since they had moved from England to America to live as British citizens? The colonists desired to be treated like every other British citizen, but at the same time, they did not think it was fair for them to pay taxes.

Joseph McCarthy proved to be a factor in this time and add on to the chaos that was America. Arthur Miller wrote about these times in a book called The Crucible, based on the witch trial era.

Scores put students from Alabama at a disadvantage against students across the nation. Following extensive research, a committee created The Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) to help Alabama be competitive in the fields of science and math. The idea behind AMSTI is students learn material best by hands-on exploration. Instead of traditional textbook and lecture instruction, students need to be conducting investigations and discovering knowledge for themselves.
