I know I am going to write a dystopian fiction when I heard of the Rhetoric-in-Practice Project. I want to show the conflict in morality standard between different points of view. Therefore, there will be two different species exist in my story. There are two main characters in this story and the story will be told by these two characters' points of view. One of them will be human and the other one will be the vampire-like creature. At first, I want to write a story that send a message about how human beings are restrain by morality and what will happen once they lost control of it. Later on, I realized it is harder than I thought. It is not all about writing. In order to come out with a good piece of dystopian literature, first I have to understand the meaning of a dystopian fiction. Why do writers write such kind of literature? In his article "Dead Man Still Walking: Explaining the Zombie Renaissance" Kyle Bishop states that:" The fundamental genre conventions of zombie cinema fit post-9/11 cultural consciousness well. During the latter half of the twentieth century, zombie movies graphically represented the inescapable realities of unnatural death and presented a grim view of a modern apocalypse in which society's infrastructure breaks down." Zombie movies are filmed because they reflect what is the society worry about, what people afraid of. So do my story. Now days, people usually judge others base on their actions. Since the story is short, that cause the change of the angle will happen frequently. In order to prevent readers from getting lost, I decided to show Oleander's angle in her diary. This diary idea is from the movie Watchman. I always like Rorschach's journal because it really show Rorschach's point of view so the audiences can understand the meaning and reason of his action. Oleander's diary has the same function. I want my audiences can have some deep understanding of this little girl and reason that drive her to so such action because the more the readers know about Oleander, her action will become more reasonable to the
