In the novel, Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede, the main character Cimorene (a princess) has not shown a proper act of a Medieval Princess. Most princesses have the honor of being a princess and take advantages.On the other hand Cimorene is tired of being controlled. She has absolutely no enthusiasm to be a Medieval Princess. Cimorene shows yet the slightest personality similar to a Medieval Princess. Cimorene decided that she was tired of living a life she didn’t want to live, and ran away. Cimorene shows no consideration to be a princess.Therefore Cimorene does not act as if she were a Medieval Princess, ‘“I suppose there’s no help for it. You’ll have to run away.’ ‘Run away?’ Cimorene said. ‘I don’t like that idea.Too many things can go wrong.’ ‘You don’t like the idea of marrying Prince Therandil,either,’the frog pointed out ‘Maybe I can think of some other way out to get married.’ The frog snorted. ‘Such as?’ Cimorene didn’t answer, and after a moment the frog said, ‘I thought so. Do you want my advice or not?’ ‘Yes,please,’ said Cimorene.After all, she didn’t have to follow it.”(pg.11).There you have it, at first Cimorene actually was turning it down but for a while she thinks it over and overcomes her fear”. “By the end of the formal banquet,at which she had to sit next to Prince Therandil and listen to the endless stories of his prowess in battle, Cimorene was more than ready to take the frogs advice.”(pg.12) This shows that Cimorene is an improper princess, No Medieval Princess would even think of running away.Some may say that Cimorene is and acts like a Medieval Princess as a result of this paragraph she is not a Medieval princess.On the way, Cimorene “EPIC” journey she picks up a few friends but the most
