Tupac Amaru Shakur, also known as Makaveli was a world renowned American hip hop rap artist, poet and actor. Tupac sold over 75 million records worldwide which made him one of the best selling artists of all time. On February 21, 1995 Shakur released “Dear Mama”, which was a tribute to his mother, Afeni Shakur. The song went far and made it to the top of the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart. The song was also certified Platinum by the RIAA on July 13, 1995.
