In the novel, In Cold Blood by Truman Capote Dick Hitchcock and Perry Smith deserve the death penalty because they brutally killed the Clutter family.
Dick and Perry deserve the death penalty because they killed the Clutter family without regret and they laughed about killing the clutters and they didn’t have any attentions of killing the Clutter family.
In today’s society, there are a lot of crimes but from different time periods there is a line that cannot be crossed between little crimes and heinous crimes and should get the worst punishment for what they have did.
People that have done heinous and disgusting acts that are over the limit should get the death penalty for what they have done.

According to the text “Perry says that after the killings the two men couldn't stop laughing, that they felt "high" and joked around as they buried evidence and cleaned themselves.” which shows how they are very psychotic. Dick and Perry should be off the streets so people can be safer and should be an example to others that don’t think things through before they do it and think they can get away with just anything.

Insanity means mental illness or madness , also Insanity is the ability to determine right from wrong when a crime is committed. How can insanity happen ?
