Introduction Following a representative for a few months has revealed many unexpected things. The representative I chose to follow is Deb Fischer. There were many reasons why I chose to follow Deb Fischer. A few of those were that she cared strongly about health care, is a female, and owns her own ranching business. My life is mainly composed of those three things so I wanted to follow somebody that had a concern greater than mine on those topics. However, I do think that any of Nebraska’s representatives would have been a wonderful to follow, but I just felt more of a connection with Deb Fischer’s intentions. Keeping up with everything that Deb Fischer has been doing has been very detailed. Finding the resources that would support all sides of the story and not just hers was quite challenging. Many of the information found was all in favor of Fischer because they wanted to promote her and her views. There were also many sources that provided detailed information on the bills. Before this class, I did not realize how many bills there actually are. The process that the Senate goes through to approve and move the bill through is very thorough and long. Following Fischer’s moves, and abortion being a hot topic, an article was written by Fischer, titled “The Dignity of Life.” In this email it mainly stated that she believes all unborn children deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and she feels very strongly about this. For me, since I fully agree with her in this case I appreciate that she is updating us on this topic. Especially since it’s a topic that is discussed about a lot in today’s society. Being on the side of agreement in this case, this strongly supports that she is being very ethical in this case because abortion is dealing with real human
