The quality of being committed to a task or purpose is known as Dedication. Throughout the book “No One Ever Asked Me” dedication was apparent from the beginning through the end. Hollis and many of the soldiers that he fought with in the war had put their lives on the line every single day. I feel as though as dedication was an essential in the book and was imitated throughout. We can go back and look at the time when Hollis first started his new chapter. “I hitchhiked up there, and lots of things happened to me. First I took a bus ride across the desert.
