For Centuries culture has been the rope to tie generations together. Everywhere we go we see the influence of Culture inspiring the minds of the youth. Making them ask questions like “where did I come from?”,and “Who are my People?”. When questions like these come up, there will definitely be a quest to find the answers. For many This long quest leads to the path of Dance. Like Culture, Dance brings those people on opposite edges of the world close together. Without culture there wouldn’t be dance, dance is usually performed to entertain or tell a story and it is hard to tell what is entertaining to a group of people with out know what their culture is. If one dance performance is acceptable in one certain area where one culture is viewed as the law, another area probably will not find the dance entertaining, due to the fact that it way be against their teachings and believes. Without dance, culture could still exist but it will not be as flaming as it would have been with a unique dance specifically for that culture. A uniform, clean, classy dance that required all members of a performs to look and dress alike. Ballet was performed like this for many years even today. Until dancers started rebelling, leading to the discovery of Modern dance, a more relaxed version of Ballet performed, sometimes, barefoot. Isadora Duncan refused to wear the stuff costumes of Ballet, have her hair up and stand tall and straight. She performed in geek robes while barefoot, her goal was to bring back the natural movements of dance like in the Ancient Greek drawings. She inspired many artists and built a school of dance.
