The American Democracy Now textbook explains about the different 9 chapters, such as The Constitution, Federalism, Civil Liberties, Public Opinion, Interest Groups, Political, and etc. Within each of the 9 chapters it describes a brief history of America and how it help mold and shaped the way we live, and the way we think from a different perspective of a person opinion. Throughout the years, technology has influenced different ways people and government communicates and organizes their political campaigns such as television, computers, cell phones, and news services. Technology has challenged people to give them opportunities to respond to make a deep impact in the future of the nation.
Democracy is a form of government in which power lies with the people. This means that the people of the said community can either rule directly or indirectly by electing officials to make decisions for the betterment of the people. Democracy is an aspect that can be included in many different governments including, republics, monarchies, and theocracies. In America today, democracy is something we take pride in. This form of government had to start somewhere, however, and ideas of democracy can be shown in many early documents written by some of the first peoples to colonize the Americas.
It can do this by giving the us citizens the opportunity to voice their opinion to political officials through email, phone, fax and letter even. A full on democracy tries to make everything set and stone. With a representative, we as people, even in the minority, can still have the power to influence the representative to have our desires heard, which is fairly significant. 51% majority rule can absolutely be detrimental to someone of the lowest minority. With majority rule there can be power over the lowest class.
Representative government is a government in which people elect others to serve on their behalf in a legislature. The idea of a Representative government originated from the English Bill of Rights. A american colonies strongly believe in representative government because all 13 colonies elect members to an assembly, which was the lower house of colonial legislature. As stated in document A “He has refused to pass other laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the rights of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.” The King refused to allow a large number of colonies to form their own legislature instead he wanted the colonies to be government by parliament which we argued that we had on body or input.

In 1831 French sociologist and political theorist Alexis De Tocqueville and a lawyer he befriended named Gustave de Beaumont, spent nine months traveling around America studying its prisons and came back with a full report on the cultural, political and psychological life in America. While Beaumont wrote about the penitentiary system, Tocqueville focused more in the cultural and political life in America. He wrote two essays and published them in a book called Democracy in America. He discussed the possible threats to democracy and the possible dangers of democracy. He believed that religion and equality were the greatest ideas and they were the most advanced in the United States and that's why democracy worked so well in America.

Most people may not know what America’s five founding ideals are. For those who don’t know they are, Liberty, Opportunity, Democracy, Rights, and Equality. The original colonists worked hard to give us these ideals. A lot of the time the people who live in the USA take it for granted. They don’t think about how the colonists worked to get us these rights.
Parliamentary system is a general government system are used in many countries, there are two types of parliamentary democracies, the Westminster (originates from the British Houses of Parliament) and consensus systems. A parliamentary system is a bicameral system with two chambers of parliament, House of Senate and House of People. The representative mostly from the election, who won the voted. This system were divided into three component executive, legislative and judiciary. Normally parliamentary system related with constitutional monarchies, this mean the ruler as head of state in the country while the head of government usually a member of the legislature.

The purpose of the democratic process is to protect the interests of all citizens of a country.
