Love is incorporated into our lives and society whether we like it or not. We were raised upon it and grew up never questioning why. After all, we know what love is. Or do we? As the glorious Frank Sinatra would say, “What Is This Thing Called Love?” A simple question that’s been asked a multitude of times, yet rarely receives a clear enough answer for us to deeply understand. However, only few are able to find what they are looking for to satisfy their fantasy. There are people who dream their entire lives of finding their “other half.” Why should you even need someone to feel complete? Justin Bieber would have to sing his new single, “Love Yourself,” to every girl looking for their soulmate. But somehow we still know it’s there. Or is it? Love is like a ghost. Is love just an illusion we try and convince ourselves is real? When we are in love, we become an open book, completely vulnerable to the person we share the relationship with. It’s possible for these people at this time to experience complete and utter bliss or complete and utter misery. There is so much care, vulnerability and trust that goes into relationships which is what makes it so special and intimate.
