There is an old aphorism that states that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Beauty could be understood as beautiful to a person but to another could think it’s unattractive. There is not one universal definition of beauty, even thought there are many opinions of what it means. In society the majority of people share more or less a definite opinion on whether something is beautiful or not. In this case, beauty is usually defined as something or someone that as features that the person looking at is beautiful. Beauty does not only refer to a person’s physical appearance but also to the character of the individual. There are three kinds of beauty that many discuss, which are external and internal beauty also of how beauty is portray in the media. The first kind of beauty that most individual recognize is external beauty. This type of beauty is what an individual sees on a person, such as their face, body, skin, hair and there sex appeal can all be accounted as attributes that are a physical. Inner beauty is not something that can be seen like external beauty. Internal beauty can be measured by how the individual makes a person feel. It is about how a person treats people and about their personality. Having a kind-hearted personality and the way a person carries themselves with dignity, and then it can be more attractive then external beauty due to the aesthetic of outer beauty. External beauty can be enhanced by beauty products and plastic surgery, which can cover up the imperfections of the physical characteristics that people don’t like. There are many products out there that can change the way the person looks and make the individual more attractive but internal beauty it is not something the a person can change with make-up or plastic
