Beauty What really is beauty? How can we decide who has beauty and who does not? Beauty has been perceived over the years in the appearance and in the form of a goddess. Beauty’s definition has been interpreted in many ways since ancient Greek, until to present day. The Greeks thought of beauty as youthful, where as today people define beauty as having great physical attributes. Society's outlook on beauty are much more different than how we should visualize beauty. People tend to say that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. That statement is accurate because each individual perceives beauty variously. Beauty tends to be looked at being only skin deep; whereas, people base beauty off of an individual's appearance. Beauty is not just something you can perceive by the senses, it goes deeper than the skin. Beauty is for sure not just about having that aesthetically pleasing look. We spend too much time fretting in front of the mirror, trying to perfect ourselves, and wanting to change those awful, non beauty things that we don't like about ourselves.
