Home. What exactly is home? What does it mean? To some people and to the dictionary it is a place where one lives permanently as a member of the household. This makes a home a physical structure that one will always return to on a regular basis. Stating this almost makes humans seem like animals building a nest. But we are more developed than animals. We think things through and create beautiful art. So is a house really just a home or something more meaningful?

A sense of home is a feeling of security and comfort. A safe haven if you will. Feel free to deny it, but you like seeing your family at home everyday. Without them there the place would feel empty and not as meaningful and certainly not safer. You simply cannot feel at home with no one around to be there for you if needed. There are people who would deny it but they certainly did not grow up without a sense of home. Without people living in them houses are just empty shells waiting to be filled with love and noise. With the care and liveliness the house itself almost seems alive with a running of a fridge and heater. But if it is left empty with no one, help, or care then the house will die. Dust will seep into the rafters and an eerie silence is all that will be heard. In order to become a home a house needs these things.
