What is love? Love is a global feeling; love is an emotion that every human in the world experiences for someone or something. It is a meaningful word for everyone yet has a different meaning. In my life I have come to the conclusion that as a person I would be nothing without love. Many people would argue that at the age of eighteen can you be in love? I am prove that you can. Not only with a significant other but with my family. Butterflies, permeant smile and goosebumps was my daily attire for almost a year. I had fallen in love with my best friend of two years. From doing everything my mom wouldn’t let me with my dad to telling my mom the latest high school gossip each person has their special bond with me as a daughter, sister, niece and granddaughter. Fagan says, “It involves compromise, trust, and a mutual growth that allows certain friends to last through decades and incredible life changes.”””””””” As she describes friendship with three qualities that are compromise, trust and growth knowing this a family makes a perfect best friend in my eyes. A family member is always willing to compromise to ensure your happiness. Whether my mom is willing to admit it I know she gives up money, time, and friendships to make sure we could have everything we have ever needed or wanted. Trust is a word that is a characteristic I look for in any relationship. All of my family members have proven to me that they are willing to keep secrets whether they feel it is the right thing. Telling them gossip, boy problems to typical college mess-ups they have shown that I can trust my secrets with them. Lastly growth you will continually grow with your family until the end.
