Dedication is time, not money Students come to school and want to get good grades. Professors want to grade papers and create lesson plans that work the best for the students. When the students show up late but have all their homework done completely, I know this is dedication. Even when students are having a hard time at home or work and are sleep deprived, they still show up to school. What is dedication really? Is it money and time? What is it? When I think about dedication, I think of a different definition. My definition of dedication is when I volunteer my time and work on my skills that I have in my tool box. One way that I volunteer my time is through working at a daycare called Little Saints Daycare. The way I volunteer my time is by giving up my Friday mornings to teach children ages birth to five years old. The things that I do are being on the floor with the children, doing lesson plans for the class room that I volunteer in. On Friday mornings I get up at six in the morning to get ready. Every day I get homework l put it in my planner, and then I look at the rubric to see what I exactly need to do to get the best grade I can get. After I read the syllabus, I start to work on the assignment. If I do not understand the assignment, then I go to the professor in person or email the professor that day. Once I get my questions answered, then I start on the assignment top get it done on time. If I don’t get the assignment done on time I get very frustrated with myself. For example, is this assignment, was the hardest assignment yet but I was dedicated to get it done on time and correct. I worked on it every day to get it done.
