I write today to inscript my view upon the importance of equality, to retain the true quality of knowledge needed to make a meaningful decision of what equality brings to our world. Equality has been one of the most talked about topics of our time, given its variety and range of importance equality has had an immense effect on the entire world. Altercations have been in our world from the time humans had inhabited it, but mainly due to the variety of differences that we all withhold. From religion, to the color of our skin and even going as far as our sex and or gender. Times likes these have been engraved into History throughout our lives. Equality being the defiance of true American history has never actually came to be. It’s actually created more issues than it has resolved, and has even been the initiator of wars, like the civil war in 1861, between the North and the south, where 22 million men fought for where they thought they stood in American history . A time where Slavery was thriving and men and women across the country were in conflict due to uncompromising differences. The North wanted to end slavery, and preserve the Union, but the south fought to preserve a way of life. These differences are what caused a massive uproar that ended up killing over 620,000 men, making it the bloodiest war in American History. We have lost the true meaning of equality in an a massive overlay of self demoralizing differences. Leaving us at a loss of where we stand as men and women in the world, and leaving us wishing that things could be better and that our love and respect for one another could be much stronger.
