If you do not get along from a young age, many of your values, beliefs and behaviors can change. This affects the way that you function for the rest of your life. You attitude is also affected from your relationships.
The official definition of the word "friend" is, and I quote, "a person whom one knows and has a bond of mutual affection with." This statement is true; however, it only vaguely expresses the standards of a friend. Self-sacrifice, being genuine and honest towards one another, and mutual trust all come together to form an absolute true friendship, and are conveyed in popular media, such as Harry Potter and Grey's Anatomy. In the Harry Potter book series, the protagonists seem like an ordinary bunch of friends in the beginning.
Pride is something a person deeply feels towards something or someone. For example, pride can be your own. It can be your own self respect because pride can be taken away from you if you are forced to do something against your will. Another, pride could be something you feel towards an enemy or a family member. It could be something you feel towards an enemy, for instance, you had an argument with them and said some harsh words and would not apologize to them or admit you’re wrong because you do not want to “swallow” your pride; same goes for a family member, they can be a family member that loves you or they could be the one who ruins you, but either way your pride will always be on the way.

Being a Communication Major, I have been exposed to the different types of family definitions out there, I have acquired the knowledge on why we define family the way we do and what the downsides are if we choose to define family in a narrow context but, when it comes to my definition of family I would stick to the structural definition of family which to me is, a family to me Is a group of tight-knitted community and individuals whom are related to one another through blood, legal means (marriage, adoptions) or personal relationships. Although my definition is really narrowed down and not inclusive, this definition works for me because I grew up in a family, in a community where the only people you regard as your family are those whom are related to you someway by blood. Growing up in my family and also in Nigeria, my family motto which eventually turned into my motto was “ Blood is Thicker than water” and that been said I and my siblings grew up with the mentality to choose family over friends or any other thing, which in turn led to us creating a boundary where we share things, secrets, do stuffs etc. but if you weren’t a family or meet any of the requirement that qualified you as a family you were shut out of the intricate part of family.
Family. There are a lot of thoughts and feelings associated with this word. Every person has a different interpretation of this word as well. For some, it brings up past experiences filled with joy and happiness, and for others, thoughts of misery and heartache come into the picture.
If you look the word family up in the dictionary it says that family is a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household. For me family is much more than that. It's the people I care about and have a special connection with and a bondage that can not be broken. My mom's side of the family gets together about two times a year for reunions. We go down to missouri in july and in december.

According to Google family means, all the descendants of a common ancestor. As one can see, there are many different meanings to family. To me family means support, dysfunctional, love, and friendships. Family is the most important influence on a child’s life.
Family is characterized with common aspects such as parents, grandparents, and siblings but there are so many other ways to distinct family. The word family is commonly defined as a group of individuals that have the same ancestors, and gather for holidays and other special events. This particular definition is true in so many ways, but everyone goes through life with situations that are brought up that bring together or break apart families. When I think about the word family and my experiences I have gone through and I would consider family to have crazy moments, lots of laughter, and unconditional love. Family to me is getting everyone together and having a good time and acting crazy with your loved ones, making memories.
I believe that every family has their own roots, essence, uniqueness, beliefs and thoughts, some families have both parents, some just the mother, just the father, two mothers or two fathers, they might have an only child or two, or maybe 5 or even 10, therefore, those children start learning all these things from their family and surroundings, they ask questions, they imitate each other’s actions and are constantly learning and trying to catch as much information and experiences as possible. Children are growing fast, their parents are their role models, they learn mostly from them; parents have the tremendous job of forming good citizens that provide to society, healthy and happy beings that keep growing as humans in every stage of their

They are the most treasured blessing that no one can take away from us. It is also like a fragile thing you consider as the most precious gem in your whole life. Family is a basic unit in the society traditionally consisting of parents and children.
