Friendship is something that can be built easily, but true friends are made after each person has gained trust for each other. Personally, I think friendship is based off of trust and that’s what really lies in the core of each friendship. We often misuse the word “friend” and call anyone that we’ve met or hung out with. Aristotle says, “Wishing to be friends is quick work, but friendship is a slow ripening fruit.” The claim that Aristotle is making is something I believe that is true. It takes time and trust to really to be able to call someone your friend. The only reason I know that this is true is because of experiences that I’ve faced and seen with others and how they eventually made me come to this conclusion. For example, in the show Arrow, Oliver Queen decides to become the vigilante of Starling City once he returns from an island after five years. His mother, Moira Queen, assigns a bodyguard for him for his safety.
