What is happiness? It is that feeling you get when receiving a paycheck, or maybe it's that moment where a father witnesses the birth of his first child. Being happy in life is something that many strive for but very few achieve. Maybe the masses can't agree on one formal definition of a moment of happiness being that it is relative to each individual. What makes Joe happy may not necessarily make Clyde happy, what makes Clyde happy may not make the golden lab down the road happy. We can all agree, though, that it feels good to be happy. That amazing feeling, the rush, that one gets when they are happy is rivaled only by love, which is comprised of happiness. Distraught, the person takes a step back and thinks to themselves, "why can't I just be happy? Why is something always taking it away?" The latter is a great question that everyone has asked themselves at one point or another. Why did that "so-called" bad experience take away their feeling of satisfaction? The unfortunate reality is that most people don't experience true happiness. My life, as well as the life of every being living on this beautiful planet we call Earth, is filled with ups and downs, good times and bad. Tribulation, as some might call it, is a time where we feel weak and vulnerable, yet there are a few who have found a way to cling to their happiness as though it were a part of them. If I lived my life that way I would never be happy because I'd never know when things would no longer be a part of it. That's terrifying to think about, something material holding someone's happiness. How is this possible? Those things are fleeting, here one moment and vanished the next.
