Happiness
Happiness, according to dictionary.com, is defined as being delighted, pleased, or glad, as over a particular thing. With such a broad definition, it is true that a person could be happy about almost anything in the world. Happiness is not something that can be measured or exchanged. Instead, like other immeasurable entities, it is something that cannot psychically be grasped in hand. If you can’t physically feel happiness how would someone know when they are truly happy?

If someone sets goals for themselves and actively works towards achieving those goals each and every day, then this creates a sense of purpose for that person. When they wake up everyday they will have a reason to get out of bed, this being so that they can eventually meet the goal that thy have set for themselves. Working toward a goal can be very rewarding because you can see the progress made each and everyday. Goals also cause people to have ambition, which is another trait closely linked with happiness. On the flip side, it is imperative that people don’t let their goal overtake their life and make it become the only thing that the focus on. This will cause other aspects of their life to dip down below where they need to be and then they will soon become overwhelmed with fixing these aspects and getting them back up to par. For example, if someone becomes so wrapped up in climbing up the corporate ladder at their new job, their health and family life may become very weak. Once they realize that these aspects are dipping it will cause this person to become overpowered by these things and will be hard to balance all three in great amounts. Believing that you are happy is halfway to actually being so. A positive mindset can do more for a person than they might think. Subconsciously, if you are telling yourself that you are going to have a good day and that you are going be in a happy mood for the day, then more than likely this will be the case. I can attest to this statement from person experience. Just a few weeks ago I was overwhelmed with homework, extracurriculars, and my babysitting job. I thought that I would never get out of this low and that I couldn’t possibly get all my schoolwork done and get caught back up. I was telling one of my friends about this and they told me this brief, yet effective quote, “turn your can’t into cans and its amazing what it will do.” I asked myself, “Could it really be that simple?” Surly enough, once I told myself that I could get back into the swings of things then I really started to. I stopped dwelling on how much work I had to do, and in place of worrying about it, I used that time to get done the things that I needed to get
