What Truly defines success? Success the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one's goals, the attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like. This word holds so many meaning and yet can hold so little to a person. F. Fitzgerald the author of “The Great Gatsby” provides many examples of success within the novel from symbolism to imagery the success. He gives many examples, may it be from great descriptive setting to what significance an object can hold to a character. He gives the reader a view into the world of the roaring twenties and what defines success to the mysterious characters.
