Here, I will share my story as an Amerindian residing in the Amazon. My age is45 and have seen the destruction done by Europeans in last decades. I have faced extreme abuse, violation done by Europeans on us. First, I will share the moments when I was living a happy life. First, we were in number of thousands and we had our land, homes, family and friends. Our primary source of food was fish and were available in large quantities. Our food, medicines and attires come especially from the forest. Forest is our motherland, our teacher, the supplier of sustenance, medication, garments and protection. Lot of plants had been destroyed by Europeans were very vital for medication. They have created lot of industrial development by clearing our homes. We have fighting hard for our land no one is listening to us. Large areas of Amazon have been cleared done which created lot of impact on climate also. As the biggest rainforest on the planet, the plants in the Amazon assimilate and store tremendous measures of carbon. Also, when individuals need to clear land rapidly they consume the trees on the land and this discharges the carbon as carbon dioxide which leads to climate change. Carbon increases the risk of fire and droughts which has killed lots of us. Also, deforestation has made the soil poor and it very difficult for us to grow any type of crops. Toxic gases emitted by those industries are extremely harmful for us and my two brothers are killed because of that. They don’t care about us because we cannot ask help from authorities.
