It was Monday, the beginning of the week. A very cold winter night. So, it was definitely freezing in Florida, 1905. Delia Jones was a wash-woman who was married to a man name Sykes. Delia was very organized. She like to get all the clothes soaked and sorted before “humpday Wednesday”. So there she was, a day ahead. She used a basket to hold the clothes instead of heaps of clothes laying on the floor. Delia was a very hard-working woman, who didn’t depend on others. Delia had been a wash-woman for a while now. The mood swings had only gotten worse by this time but she was in the best mood she’s been in since their wedding. She was in such a great move, she thought no one could ruin her day, not even Sykes. The door open wide and here comes her bald, heavy weight husband Sykes.
