My serial killer’s name is Dennis Rader.
Dennis Rader was born on March 9th, 1945 in Pittsburg Kansas. When he was a child he seemed to be normal, he was is boy scouts, and active in church youth activities. He attended riverview elementary school. But Dennis had withdrawn tendencies, he was a below average student with low grades. He developed his fanticies about bondge, control and torture while still in grade school. Which was shown when he admitted to killing cats by hanging them in his younger years. People who knew Dennis described him as a quiet and polite person, who kept to himself. He would think before he spoke. They said he would listen carefully when spoken to and would give you full attention while you spoke. The people who knew

The mom, dad and two children were killed by strangulation. On april 4th 1974 he killed Katherine Bright and attempted to murder her brother Kevin by waiting in their apartment for them to arrive, but kevin survived. On March 1977 he strangled shirley vain in her home after he locked her kids in the bathroom. On December 8th 1977 he strangled Nancy Fox, and then called the police to tell them about it. This was his first act in reaching out for fame. On April 27th, 1985 he killed his neighbor Marine Hedge in her home by strangulation. Her body wasn't found until a few days later, And it was found on the side of the road. On September 1986 he killed Vicki Wegerle in her home by strangulation. On January 19th, 1991 he killed Dolaris Davis in her home but he took her body and dumped it under a bridge (Rader). Dennis Rader’s MO and Signature was to choose a victim at random, then he would bind them, (tie them up), then tell them that he was going to rape them because he said he liked to see the terror in their eyes. This was a part of the torture before the kill in his ritual. After his process of bind, torture and kill was complete. He would write letters to the police because he wanted credit for his killings. These letters were believed to be the reason of his capture, which is believed to have been done on purpose so that he could have a way to “brag” about his killings and “tell the

The definition of a Psychopath is, unstable aggressive person with abnormal or violent social behavior. Narcissistic personality disorder is defined as a person who is in need of admiration and has a lack of empathy for others, but is also very lacking in confidence and does not take well to criticism.("Narcissistic Personality Disorder - Mayo Clinic"). Antisocial personality disorder is defined as a medical condition where a person has long term patterns of manipulating, exploiting or violating rights of others ("Criteria For Antisocial Personality Disorder - Antisocial Personality Disorder"). Dennis was believed to be a psychopath because he felt no emotion and kills in order to get excitement or lust, etc. Dennis was believed to have been born with a defective thalamus, causing him to feel nothing whats so ever. The defective thalamus is also linked to OCD disorder which would explain the obsessive desire he had towards some of his victims. He shows OCD in later murders, as he became obsessed with the victims and he stalked them, he knew their every move and schedule. So he could plan out the perfect kill. It was also believed that he possibly had narcissistic personality disorder. This is shown at the end of his killing spree as he strides for fame in the crimes that he has committed.This was a mild case, but shown by his anger in not being given credit for the murders and
