43 year old Derek Jeter, was born in Michigan during the year of 1974 on June 26th. Jeter was born in Pequannock, New Jersey. HIs mother is Dorothy Jeter, his father is Sanderson Charles Jeter, and he also has a sister named Sharlee Jeter. Jeter moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan at the age of four. At the age of five, Jeter began playing Little League. Jeter ended up playing major league baseball with some of the same kids he played in the Little League World Series with.He fell in love with the game of baseball at age five.
Derek Jeter grew up playing baseball. Although Jeter was tall and lanky, he was still very athletic. Jeter also played basketball during his high school years, but baseball was his favorite. In his junior year of high school Derek Jeter had an impressive batting average of .557. During Jeter’s last two years of highschool, he batted over .500, striking out only once during his senior year. After graduation Jeter was first chosen by the Yankees with the sixth overall pick in the June 1992 draft. During his time in the minor leagues he was selected as “ Minor League Player of the Year”, with fifty stolen bases and a batting average of .344.

Jeter ended his 20 year major league baseball career. From playing since he was five, to being nicknamed “Captain Clutch” or even “Mr. November”. Fifteen years ago Derek Jeter became Mr. November, when the first official World Series game was played in November. It was game 4 of the 2001 World Series, when Derek Jeter himself was up to bat as the clock struck midnight, November first. Eight pitches later he hit an opposite field shot which drifted two inches over the right field wall, that was the game-winning shot. This win tied the Yankee’s with the Diamondbacks 2-2 in the 2001 World Series. In conclusion to Jeter’s many victories, he has became a very well-known major league
