Current Knick point guard, Derrick Rose, turns 28 on October 4th. While Rose's NBA career has plagued with severe injuries, there are many high moments for him during his NBA career.

Rose was the number one pick out of the 2008 draft as he was chosen by the Chicago Bulls. The team was coming off a season after finishing 33-49. He demonstrated vast potential as he averaged 16.8 points, 6.3 assists, 3.9 rebounds on 47% shooting during his rookie season. Because of his stellar play, the Bulls made it to the postseason with the 7th seed. Many believed the Bulls were going to eliminated quickly as the team faced the defending champs, the Boston Celtics (series lasted seven games and five of those game were decided by three points or fewer).

Rose continued to improve all across the stat sheet which allowed him to earn his first all star honors during the 2009-2010 season. He led the Bulls to the number one seed in the Eastern Conference in the 2010-2011 season. In the same season, Rose won his first MVP award after a phenomenal season in which he put averaged 25 points, 7.7 assists, and 4.1 rebounds while owning a slash line of .445/.332/.858 (led the league with about 7 free throw attempts per game). …show more content…
