From The Beginning of 1900 B.C.E to today The Jewish faith has thrived. Starting in the Middle east, Judaism has Lasted for over 4000 years because They wrote down their beliefs, viewing themselves as a separate people or race, Developing their own Exclusive Culture, and their uncompromising faith in their belief they, as a “chosen people” will have to endure suffering and persecution as gods test of their resolve.
Writing down the beliefs and practices helped the Jewish culture last because, Writing covered time- Even if the author dies the story or idea will last. Writing will cover distance, If it was written in one place it can travel to other places around the world. Writing also can not be changed over time because it is not an oral tradition. Finally, Writing is portable and can travel, so I deas can travel with people wherever they go. For example, The Torah or Tanakh (Jewish Holy book),The Ten Commandments and the laws of Moses. A Jewish teacher or a Rabbi can use these writings to maintain faith to his followers. Most of the writing was done mostly in Hebrew where nothing would get lost in translation to other languages.
