I wrapped my hands around a thick branch of the tree, using all the energy I could muster, I hoisted myself up. Sitting on it, I felt a sense of satisfaction course through me. I had climbed many trees in this forest before, but it was my first time attempting to climb such a sturdy and tall tree. The view before me was breath-taking. The lush greenery of the forest canopy, the little critters emerging from their resting places and the squirrels scurrying for food under bristles of wispy moss. This forest was my sanctuary, a place I called home.

Since she could run after being fitted with prosthetics, she joined the school track team. She started to win races, even beating the record I set for 100m. This gave her confidence as people start flattering her and she became popular. Charlotte feels good being so “cool” so she started chasing after all the “artificial” things to further gain the likes of her new found friends. I ran off into the forest, a place where it hold fond memories of my sister and me together. As I ran deeper and deeper into the forest, my sobs turned to cries of disappointment. It was then that I ran across the old hut. As I stepped inside the old hut, the memories started flooding in. My heart was aching terribly for the sister I lost.
Then, I tripped over a bottle of pills that enhances memory. No idea why it is in the hut of all places, I could not help but feel curious. But it wasn’t my main concern.
