A quaint college town, gently caressed by the rolling mountains surrounding it, lies five miles east of the breathtaking Golden coast. San Luis Obispo is one of the few relaxing coastal cities where tourists can dig their feet into the warm sand, enjoy the ocean breeze and then proceed to lose feeling in each toe from the freezing cold water. It is a town in which the environment is laid back yet the forty-five thousand residents remain active and where the high school teenagers spend less time doing school work and more time getting, well, to put it blunt-ly…stoned. San Luis Obispo and its neighboring cities offer some of the greatest vacation and photo opportunities around the state of California. It is the nearby attractions like Hearst Castle and Avila Beach Aquarium. It is the nearby towns such as Arroyo Grande and its historical beauty. It is the landscape and wildlife that Southern nor Northern California can give. So, forget the NorCal versus SoCal dispute and remember that just between the two is a stunning array of cities that provide endless things to do and countless things to see. It may not be a home to hundreds of thousands, but it is more than home to the ones there. They are passionate with all they do and truly want better for their community.
