The earth was convulsing violently, our home was shaking to and throw as if it were about to be ripped out of the ground from its foundation. The time had finally come once again when Mother Nature would take her vengeance and show us who is in charge. The sleeping volcano had awoken and was ready to unleash her chaos on the lavish green countryside which lay below at her feet. Upon the horizon, a murderous flash of slivery lightning flickered across the once pleasant calm blue day sky. Mount Venus had finally erupted and gigantic sheets of fire, wickedly large flames, ash, moult and larva blew out and covered the day sky. I looked around and right above us a dense black cloud was forming spreading in the air like a large black blanket covering the once beautiful day sky and pulling us into darkness, not the darkness of a moonless night but as if a lamp had been put out in a closed room. As we watched in anticipation like we were frozen in time, sitting there with my family while the world around us was alive with fear, desperation as hot ash mixed with stones fell from the sky, fireballs being hurled at us from all directions. The heat was beginning to become so extreme and the smell was intoxicating choking my throat. Finally, there was panic and chaos throughout the village as you could hear women screaming and crying, the wailing of their infant children, and the men shouting for people to run and take refuge down by the water 's edge as hot oozing larva started to approach the outskirts of our village.The world was plunged into darkness and you could no longer breathe and the heat was so intense we could not remain here any longer so I choose to run with everyone else I could not be brave any longer and stand there without at least making attempt to save myself and others around me while my father choose to stay and direct our village neigbours to safety with no consideration for his own well
