How do health providers design educational programs to clearly articulate objectives to engage both patients as well as families? The tenacity of knowledge and learning objective is to converse and communicates importance of health needs to individuals that define the anticipated learning outcomes. Learning objective is part of nurses’ responsibilities. Nurses’ are the care planners, managers and coordinators to design individualized care. Patients and the family members have to be involved in the learning goals and decision making. The patients’ right to choose must be respected, which will help in the active involvement of the patient in the learning method. Opinions, approaches, standards, and evidence that will add to the patients’ motivation, enthusiasm and performance are basic elements in patients’ decision making. Patients’ readiness has to be assessed in order to plan for measurable and achievable goals. If the patient’s readiness is altered, the learning goal will not be achieve. what are the barriers that could hinder the patients and how can the barriers be lifted or removed? What are the steps taking to motivate the patients and the families to achieve the learning objectives? A good conducive, well-ventilated, comfortable, free from distractions and clean environments is suitable for learning. Stimulating environments can also motivate an individual for readiness and actively involved in the learning process. As nurses, we need to plan a better and stimulating environment for our patient and their families which aid their motivation for learning. Questions and answers that provide positive feedback during learning should be incorporated during the learning process in order to know the level of their understanding and
