Desmond Marris is a zoologist, who studies animal behaviors. Since humans are known as mammals, he decide to do a study on humans as if he is studying animals. He studied humans in their nature, their home, park, office, just their environment. Marris sees himself as a man watcher, he watches people just as birds watches humans. He analyzes their natural behavior, which occurs all over the world. Marris sees humans as the same, and that they need to stop treating each other as if their different species. From what he observed from humans Marris created a new project in studying in the human world actions, gestures, reactions, and also their emotions. After, months and months Marris had the knowledge of the human body. On the eight month, Marris was able to tell every facial reaction, every movement, and posture. In foreign countries they have different signs than what American’s are used to and have different meanings to their signs. As in the common handshake that an everyday American uses. In Eastern Africa it’s a simple palm touch as American’s do but in different countries like West Africa, they have a more elaborate handshake, they touch their forearm as they are given a handshake. In Japan if you do the sign forward it means that you are intelligent but if you do it backwards then it means you are crazy.
