Destiny Hope Cyrus or what you probably know her as Miley Ray Cyrus, is an American singer, actress. She began acting at a young age, she starred in a show called “Hannah Montana.” Why was her name changed? “The smiling youngster was given the nickname 'Smiley' which was eventually shortened to Miley (she officially changed her name in May 2008).”
In consecutive years, Miley had a desire to distance herself from the Hannah Montana persona everyone seen her as. She cut her hair short and created her own sense of fashion. But no one was quite prepared for how far she would go: At the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in August 2013, Miley left audience in complete shocked with her erotic performance of her single, "We Can't Stop."

She was always really close with her paternal grandfather. She was raised in Franklin, Tennessee, where she attended the Heritage Elementary School. Later in 2001, when she was 8 years old, her family moved to Toronto, Canada. It was when watching her father act in the television series ‘Doc’ that she was inspired to take up acting professionally. To pursue the same, she started attending singing and acting classes at the Armstrong Acting Studio in Toronto. She enrolled herself at Options for Youth Charter Schools. Additionally, she even appointed a private tutor with whom she studied in between shootings, at the sets of the television show. In her first role, Miley played a girl named Kylie in the tv show Doc. In 2003, she was credited under her birth name for her role as "Young Ruthie" in Tim Burton's Big Fish. She had also auditioned with Taylor Lautner for the feature film The Adventures of Shark boy and Lava girl. She auditioned for the show Hannah Montana, she then started doing the show when she failed to land her role for Shark boy and Lava girl. Tish Cyrus (Miley’s mom) became her manager, and she worked to get a team to help her career grow bigger.
