Cadence Sinclair Eastman suffers from amnesia everyday of her life after the accident occurred. She has extremely little memory of what happened that day. Cadence tries to remember the details of her accident and piece it back together, like a huge puzzle she has to remember on her own. Cadence lies awake in her room day by night feeling the excruciating pain her accident left behind. She asks her mother everyday what happened, but she can never remember what her mom tells her. Why did she go into the ocean with no one else and barely any clothing on? Where were the liars when this happened? So many puzzle pieces she can't remember on her own. On Beachwood island Cadence, Johnny, Mirren, and Gat meet up every summer. They were known as the liars. The four best friends were called the liars because most years on the island they were in trouble. All of them were on the island the night of the accident. She remembers most of the details on her own while on Beachwood island. She keeps a journal of the details that she remembers or that someone told her. Finally to piece it all together she asks the liars and figures out that the liars were going to start a fire in one of the beach houses on Beachwood island. Each liar on a different floor, but Cadence on the first floor, so she could get out the easiest. They each lit a spark and BOOM the house was in flames! Cadence worked backwards and poured gasoline by the door first, so when she tried to get out her hands and feet got burt. “AAAHHH.” Cadence hears a scream from above her. It's Johnny. She runs up stairs and tries to unlock the bolts. 1,2,3. Doesn't work. She gives up. Another scream from below her. “Gat, Mirren!” No answer. She has to get out of the house before the house blows up in flames and she dies. She watches from the ocean the house go up in
