The purpose that the deviants take place in “Sex in the City” is some people labeled the show as inappropriate for television. Some people labeled the characters as a primary deviance. They didn’t like a certain role the character played. Some people felt a certain character played a role as a secondary deviance. They felt the character was at least psycho, addicted, or a nerd. I’m pretty sure they had an episode where one of the characters was stigmatized back in high school. They also had episodes where someone was being retrospective. This show can appeal to teenagers and young adults, and is a very plot driven show that easily appeals to these age groups.
