Working in the Republican Centre of purulent surgery and complications of diabetes as a Cardiologist, every day in my clinical practice I treat many complicated patients with or without disabilities suffering from type 2 diabetes. All these patients usually have severe decompensated diabetes with poor glucose control, impaired lipid metabolism, untreated comorbidities. They have huge amount of risk factors (smoking, obesity, arterial hypertension, and many others). Almost all patients diagnosed cardiovascular pathology (coronary, carotid, lower extremity artery disease). They had 6-10 fold increased risk for myocardial infarction, stroke or cardiac death. I am a clinical researcher, but also want to study deeply biomedical statistics for conducting multicenter and multidisciplinary studies. During the period of my study of Public Health, I would like to discuss my plans, as well as concrete steps to fulfill my objectives. Highly skilled professionals can make suggestions, correct mistakes and improve efficiency of our work. I want to decrease incidence of diabetic complications (especially diabetic foot and possible purulent-necrotic complications to prevent high mortality and disability), decrease rate of amputations, improve life quality and life expectancy in diabetics.
