Chapter 1 “Gotta Get Me Some”- Nickelback In chapter one Nick moves in next to Gatsby and is getting to know everyone. One night he sees who he wants to say is Gatsby, and notices that he is reaching out toward the water as if he is longing for something. Across the sound Nick sees a green light at the end of a dock. We know that Gatsby is reaching out to Daisy and the song says “she’s got everything I want.” And Gatsby wants her. Chapter 2 “Roll Up”- Wiz Khalifa Chapter two is when Nick, Tom, and Catherine go into the town and we are introduced to Myrtle Tom’s mistress. We also learn that Tom doesn’t want to leave Daisy because she is of the Catholic decent. Just as Daisy pulls up to Nick’s house Gatsby gets nervous and runs out of the house and back around to the front. The song talks about the fact that Gatsby wants to “See you again.” referring to Daisy. By Gatsby’s actions I would say he wasn’t ready to “See you again.” (Daisy). Chapter 6 “All Me”- Drake In chapter six the truth about Gatsby is revealed. At the same time many others are creating and stating all these rumors about him. In a way you could say the chapter is “All me.” (Gatsby) since that’s what it revolves around. At one point in this chapter a reporter comes to Gatsby’s estate to interview him and get the facts. Chapter 7 “You Belong With Me”- Taylor Swift Chapter seven takes place when Tom, Daisy, and Gatsby are in the city. Tom and Gatsby get into it after Gatsby suggests that Daisy loves him and not Tom. They both argue and go back and forth on the matter, and are both convinced they are right. The song says “You Belong With Me.” And Tom and Gatsby both think that Daisy “Belongs.” With them.
