I believe there is more to Raye than the videos portray. Even though she is an advocate the detention center near her ranch, she can often be seen having dialogue for a neutral standpoint. This is first captured in the interactions with the Masudi family. Bahati and Masayra are describing their journey from Africa to Australia to Raye, Raquel, and Roderick. Masayra provides them a story about what happened to their food and the unsafe conditions in the camp. In this scene, you can see Raye intensively engaged in dialogue with Bahati and Masayra. Adam inquired into the journey from Iraq and was told that one Iraqi traveled from Iraq to Malaysia and then to Indonesia finally arriving at Christmas Island.
