In “The Diary of a Young Girl” Anne Frank’s account of the Nazi’s invading her country was very courageous of someone who is only thirteen years old and is something that should be admired by everyone. In the year 1942 Anne Frank and her family as well as the Van Daan’s and a friend by the name of Mr. Dussel are forced into hiding. Anne’s Diary is a well-kept personal account of someone at such a young ages’ perception of the countries invade. These times were hard on not only those families and their alike Jewish partners, but for everyone as famine set in the harsh secluded supplies of food were often stored by smaller groups. In order for Jews to live they had to go into hiding or flee the country and avoid being arrested and put into the concentration camps. Anne frank was one of the most courageous and inspirational thirteen year olds there ever was, Anne simply only saw the good in people. One of the secretaries found Anne’s diary and placed it in her draw unread so that it could perchance be returned to the family if they made it out alive. The only member who did was Anne’s father, Otto Frank, who took her diary in honor of her visions and dreams and had pages published she had documented in her time. It wasn’t until later when all of Anne’s diary was discovered that people would truly see the perspective of that family for two years of hiding and the horrific nature of always thinking it will be your time to be found with every knock of the door. Anne was inspirational throughout her writings and documenting the days, she was very hopeful and optimistic, and she tried to see the bright side of the entire situation and reminisced about seeing her family
