Anne Frank by Susanna Davidson is about the life of Jewish girl hiding from the Nazis with her family. The Franks had been living in Germany. As the anti- Semitism took over Germany, Otto Frank, Anne's father, and his wife Edith left everything and moved to Amsterdam with Anne and her older sister Margot. After a few years, they were not safe there either. After Otto was called to report to the Germans, the Franks along with van Pels family, and Fritz Pfeffer went into hiding in the Secret Annex which was a hidden place inside her dad's office. Anne poured all of her thoughts and feelings into her diary that she had received for her birthday. They stayed hidden in the Secret Annex for over two years. There, Otto was separated from his wife and daughters. Every morning at the camp they woke up at half past three to the sound of whistles. Her breakfast was a brown liquid. Every morning, night, and in all weathers they stood outside for their roll call which could last up to five hours. Then they marched half an hour to work, to dig grass. For supper they had a slice of bread. At ten, they went back to their barracks to try to sleep. Then news came that there was another selection to be made of workers to go and work at another factory, where the work was less demanding. Anne wasn't selected because she had scabies, which are red sores on a person's body where lice had burrowed beneath a person's skin. Her mother and sister refused to go without her. Her sister went into the scabies barrack with her. Eventually, Margot had scabies as well. Days later another selection was held. Edith was kept behind at Auschwitz but Anne and Margot were sent on to another camp. Anne and Margot were herded onto a train once more. Four days later, Anne and Margot arrived at the Bergen- Belsen camp in Germany. There Anne and Margot were put to work in a shoe shed. The following March another disease spread,
